CISR WTH Seminar (CL) - Claims-Made Concepts and Select Coverages: Employment Practices Liability and Cyber”

Thursday, November 14, 2024 (8:00 AM - 4:15 PM) (EST)

Description

This class is open to all. It does update your CISR designation if you have one.

William T Hold Seminars give us the opportunity to dig deeper into coverages that you briefly touched on in the CISR program.

This course will focus on Claims-Made Concepts and Select Coverages: Employment Practices Liability and Cyber”

This course begins with a discussion of the difference between occurrence and claims-made coverage triggers, including important concepts such as the retroactive date, extended reporting period, and prior and pending litigation date. We will then review some common coverage features of professional and management liability policies - coverages typically written on a claims-made basis. These coverage features include defense provisions, consent to settle clauses, and treatment of punitive damages.

Lastly, we will review coverage under two policies commonly written on a claims-made basis: Employment Practices Liability and Cyber. Discussion of Cyber will include both a discussion of the claims-made liability coverages and first-party coverages. In the discussion of cyber crime coverage, reference will also be made to some of the cyber coverages that may be available in a Commercial Crime Policy.

This seminar is NOT one of the classes required to earn your CISR designation.

This is a live, virtual seminar. No exam is required for CE credit or for your CISR update.
